Dior signs a new Poison perfume: Pure Poison. The venomous elixir Poison made a lasting impression, modernized Dior's image while bringing the venerable perfumery house back to its finest hours of glory.
Pure Poison by Dior came to enrich a great perfume collection, initiated in 1985. It all began with a tempting and scandalous elixir, as floral as it was spicy. Then, little by little, Poison saw the appearance of various successors such as Tendre Poison or Hypnotic Poison. Pure Poison, for its part, is its 2004 edition. The return of the apple designed by Véronique Monod
To design the Poison bottle, in 1984, the Dior brand called upon Véronique Monod, a glass artisan specializing in blown glass creations for perfumery, tableware, decoration or even architecture. Particularly renowned, Véronique Monod's works are today displayed in numerous museums around the world. Here, for Poison, this artist decided to create a bottle shaped like an apple. Indeed, because Poison was presented as a tempting elixir, what better than an apple to hold its precious perfume? Regardless of civilizations and cultures, the apple has always been considered a symbol of temptation. Moreover, for Christians, it references the forbidden fruit, the apple bitten by Eve in the Garden of Eden. This choice is therefore far from insignificant. The new colors of Dior's Pure Poison
While Pure Poison's shape remains the same as its predecessor's, its color, on the other hand, changes completely. This time, its glass is covered in a white shade, as immaculate as it is futuristic. Looking closer, you will notice that its double glass wall filters light, creating a shimmering effect in its clear whiteness. Thus, Pure Poison gains a stronger dreamlike quality. Its former burgundy color, meanwhile, is still present. It appears on its cap as well as on its name. What is more, all the shades of purple reference the marvelous.
