Dior signs a new Poison perfume: Pure Poison. The venomous elixir Poison made a lasting impression, modernized Dior's image while reviving the venerable house's finest hours of glory.

Pure Poison by Dior came to enrich a great collection of perfumes, launched in 1985. It all began with a tempting and scandalous elixir, as floral as it was spicy. Then, little by little, Poison saw various successors appear, such as Tendre Poison or Hypnotic Poison. Pure Poison, for its part, is its 2004 edition. Addressing a new generation of women, it possesses a false innocence while ultimately proving as exuberant as its elders. This element of mystery only heightens its charm. What is more, its bottle is also strikingly beautiful.

The return of the apple designed by Véronique Monod

To design the Poison bottle in 1984, the Dior brand called upon Véronique Monod, a glass artisan specializing in blown glass creations for perfumery, tableware, decoration and even architecture. Particularly famous, Véronique Monod's works are now displayed in numerous museums around the world. Here, for Poison, this artist decided to create a bottle in the shape of an apple. Indeed, since Poison was presented as a tempting elixir, what could be better than an apple to hold its precious perfume? Regardless of civilization or culture, the apple has always been considered a symbol of temptation. Moreover, for Christians, it refers to the forbidden fruit, the apple bitten by Eve in the Garden of Eden. This choice is therefore far from insignificant. No one can resist the temptation of Pure Poison, and this is apparent from the very sight of its bottle.

The new colors of Dior's Pure Poison

While the shape of Pure Poison remains the same as its predecessor's, its color, on the other hand, changes completely. This time, its glass is covered in a white hue, as immaculate as it is futuristic. Looking more closely, one will notice that its double glass wall filters light, creating a shimmering effect within its limpid whiteness. Thus, Pure Poison is enriched with a stronger dreamlike quality. Its former burgundy color, meanwhile, is still present. It appears on its cap as well as on its name. What is more, all the shades of purple refer to the marvelous. Here, this color only heightens the fairy-tale quality of this perfume. For added refinement, Dior also chose to decorate the neck of Pure Poison with a golden lacquer, as sun-kissed as it is luxurious. From the moment its visual appears, Pure Poison echoes the bewitching perfume it contains. It also refers to the luminous ingredients and the armful of white flowers found at its heart. To allow for varied enjoyment, depending on use, Pure Poison is available in different spray bottle sizes. It comes in 30, 50 or 100 ml sizes.
