Joy Forever

It ventured into perfumery very early after the opening of its house, in 1925, with 3 fragrances released the same year, Adieu Sagesse, Amour Amour, Que sais-je?. In 1920, Jean Patou signed a revolutionary and timeless perfume, Joy. Then, in 2013, the house decided to develop a flanker, Joy Forever. While the essence remains just as sumptuous, it sees the appearance of new ingredients such as orange blossom and iris.

The eternal scent of Joy Forever

Naturally, bearing the name Joy, this essence had to honor the emblematic fragrance of the original. Like the composition of Joy, that of Joy Forever unveils a large bouquet of flowers with the presence of rose and jasmine. However, these floral notes, present in overdose in Joy, are more subdued in Joy Forever. The latter opens with citrus notes, mandarin and bergamot, which bring genuine freshness. They are joined by galbanum, which reinforces this burst of freshness. Peach also lends its fruity touch. The base of Joy Forever is more woody, thanks to the presence of sandalwood, cedarwood and amber. As for the white musks, they deliver a gentle sensuality that delicately wraps around the whole. The bottle echoes the codes of its predecessor. Designed like a gemstone, the cabochon is made of rose gold and is also lined with gold threads.
