Light di Gioia

The sun-drenched scent of Light Di Gioia Travel is an endless source of inspiration for perfumers. Sometimes, however, there is no need to go far to rediscover the splendors of nature. Giorgio Armani understands this well and continues to showcase the beauty of the Mediterranean.

Where to buy

Once again completing the Acqua Di Gioia range, he delivers a new creation brimming with light and sun, perfectly suited to the arrival of warmer days. The new essence in the range is called Light Di Gioia, following on from the previous Air Di Gioia, Sun Di Gioia and Sky Di Gioia from 2016. So what is this new juice like? Let its radiant, sun-kissed aura captivate you!

Light Di Gioia, when flowers become more luminous than ever

Light Di Gioia is an infinitely feminine fragrance that relies on the power of flowers to seduce. Yet it also radiates a particularly sun-kissed brilliance and thus introduces very airy ingredients into its composition. With Light Di Gioia, a luminous glow takes hold of daily life, giving added energy to face hectic days. Light Di Gioia opens on the sparkling vivacity of bergamot, a fruit much prized by perfumers for its sweetness and slight bitterness. Then, its heart becomes more generous and floral. Full of poetry, it draws on the opulence of jasmine and the romance of gardenia. Still very pure, Light Di Gioia is then enriched with white musk, leaving a sense of cleanliness in its wake. Finally, for more depth and character, it ends with a base of precious woods.

The glow of the sun reflected in Giorgio Armani's bottle

As for the bottle, Light Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani relies on softness and generosity. While it draws heavily on the visual of its predecessors, it is rounder than before. Likewise, its cap is also different. It now takes the form of a semi-precious stone: a citrine, whose name, close to the word for lemon, refers to its yellow color. Indeed, this color is omnipresent here. Light Di Gioia radiates a sun-kissed glow and rests on a glass base forming a wide smile. Undoubtedly, Light Di Gioia is made to warm the heart!

Light Di Gioia, a fragrance inspired by the island of Pantelleria

Like all fragrances in the Acqua Di Gioia range, Light Di Gioia draws inspiration from the island of Pantelleria, a unique place between sky and sea, located not far from Sicily. It is in fact a paradisiacal spot where Giorgio Armani likes to recharge. He is fond of saying that it is an endless source of creativity. The landscape is worthy of a postcard. Picture it: the sea crashing against the cliffs, the pines and eucalyptus scenting the air with their woody notes, the natural elements bathed in the warm glow of the sun… This is the setting Giorgio Armani wanted for this composition.

Olfastory’s review

What is the take on the Light di Gioia fragrance? Giorgio Armani is an Italian designer who never misses an opportunity to highlight his roots. As a result, many of his fragrances evoke the Mediterranean. The Light Di Gioia fragrance is the ultimate demonstration of this. In recent weeks, it has come to complete the Gioia d Armani family, launched in 2010 and already comprising three creations. So what does this new fragrance evoke? Is it truly different from its predecessors? Does it manage to transport us to Italy? Here is an informed take on the subject!
