In 1941, Robert Ricci created the perfume department. Very quickly, L’Air du Temps brought them victories and recognition. After numerous olfactory successes, Nina Ricci presented Premier Jour in 2001, a floral-fruity fragrance that appeared as a legacy of the brand.
In the beginning, Nina Ricci...
Since 1932, the fashion house Nina Ricci has offered collections as well as glamorous, passionate perfumes, always in pursuit of perfection. The brand is the emblem of Parisian elegance. Robert Ricci, Nina's only son, managed to transform their family business into a thriving multinational. The choice of the name Premier Jour is due to the beginning of the twenty-first century, and thus symbolizes a new era. This renewal draws on the heritage, elegance and expertise of the brand. If Premier Jour aims to be a new day, it also aims to be a new sensuality, as a reinterpretation of the latter. The Premier Jour woman is determined, ultra sensual, yet very modest at the same time. That is why Premier Jour is a fragrance made of striking contrasts. Between strength and shyness, between yesterday and today, Premier Jour intoxicates us with happiness and joy.
The fresh sensuality of Premier Jour
Premier Jour is defined as a fruity floral. With it, sensuality is as if reworked, revisited. A fresh and captivating sensuality, Premier Jour offers new emotions, so to speak. To create Premier Jour, Nina Ricci called on two perfumers, Sophie Labbé and Carlos Benaïm. Together, they crafted a particularly luminous essence. Premier Jour opens with the freshness of mandarin and sweet pea. The heart is feminine and sensuous thanks to the beauty of gardenia paired with the sensuality of orchid. The base is meant to be ultra sensual with sandalwood, white musks and vanilla. As for the bottle, it is a work of art in its own right! This most original of cases is made up of three overlapping, off-center cylinders. Symbols of rupture and harmony, of past and future, of roundness and rigidity, the Premier Jour bottle underscores the contrasts of its juice.
Luminous and sensual, the Premier Jour fragrance marks a fresh start, a new century. Of course, the latter would not be what it is without the heritage and experience of the house of Nina Ricci. That is why Premier Jour is such an important fragrance for the brand. It symbolizes the past and prepares the future. The composition, entirely built on contrast, delivers a highly sensual result. The bottle is a small jewel, offering one final touch of originality.
