English Pear & Sweet Pea Cologne

English Pear & Sweet Pea is a Jo Malone London eau de Cologne, introduced in September 2023. It comes in 9, 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles, and the house places it among its light floral fragrances.

A pear and a sweet pea

The house starts from English Pear & Freesia, its big hit of 2010, and looks for a wild flower that would give the pear a new twist. Céline Roux, the brand’s Global Head of Fragrance, chooses sweet pea, which she finds very English. The fragrance becomes the youthful, pastel counterpart of the first.

A natural pear extract

Both pear eaux de Cologne now rest on a natural extract of the fruit, exclusive to Jo Malone London, which forms the base of the pear accord. The house reformulated English Pear & Freesia to adapt it.

The perfumer

Anne Flipo signs the composition. Céline Roux approaches her because the two women had already worked together on florals. The perfumer sums up the fragrance as the sensuous freshness of luscious fruits wrapped in soft sweet pea.
