Nina sees red! Nina is the name of the most famous heroine created by Nina Ricci. Introduced in 2006, she is a kind of modern-day fairy, enamored with romance. Since its creation, its gourmand and floral character has been reinvented several times, giving rise to Les Belles de Nina.
The Nina fragrance dresses in red... In 2006, the house of Nina Ricci launched its Nina fragrance, which has since become a true icon of women's perfumery. This fresh heroine, a kind of modern-day fairy, immersed us in her romantic world, worthy of an enchanting dream. This time, to our great delight, Nina reinvents herself once again and becomes Nina Rouge. It must be said that this is not Nina Ricci's first attempt at this... This essence has already had plenty of opportunity to change its appearance, becoming in turn Pretty Nina, Nina L'Elixir, Les Gourmandises de Nina, Les Délices de Nina, La Tentation de Nina, and even Les Monstres de Nina. So how does the house manage to reinvent itself? Is the new Nina Rouge worthy of its predecessors? Here is our review!
Olfastory’s review
A fragrance that is mouth-watering!
Let's start with the scent of the Nina Rouge fragrance... Since the launch of this collection, gourmand character has been the order of the day! And it is precisely on this trend for sweet fragrances that the new Nina Rouge rides. Nevertheless, Nina Rouge does not tip over into excessive sweetness or sugar overload. Here, everything is balance and harmony. Nina Rouge opens on a fruity hook before giving way to a more floral heart. Its timeless femininity is wrapped in caramel, praline and vanilla. To counterbalance this calorie-rich trio, Nina Rouge also contains ginger, airier and slightly peppery, as well as gardenia. Nina Rouge thus moves from a sweet, almost childlike roundness to the more floral sensuality of a fully self-assured woman.
A new red lacquer finish that suits it perfectly
Aesthetically, Nina Rouge comes in a brand new bottle. And it must be said that this one suits it like a glove... The apple, a fruit inseparable from the Nina Ricci brand, is still present. A symbol of temptation, it is a fruit with universal appeal, recognized the world over. Here, the woman wearing this fragrance does not seem to have resisted temptation. Indeed, on its front face, the Nina Ricci bottle has been bitten into! The idea is bold, almost as bold as its new red lacquer finish. Thanks to it, Nina Rouge almost resembles a candy apple, straight out of a fairground. Here again, Nina Ricci dares to strike a perfect balance between the childlike evocation of a traditional fair and the fiery red, symbol of passion.
Estella Boersma, particularly sparkling in the Nina Rouge advertisement
Finally, the advertisement for Nina Rouge remains relatively simple but no less sparkling. A few seconds are enough to immerse us in the world of this new fragrance. Against a white background, Estella Boersma performs a few fairly simple and slightly nonchalant dance steps. Some of her poses could almost pass for childlike gestures. Regardless, this modern-day little red riding hood perfectly carries us along with her into her world of joie de vivre and cheerfulness!
