La Petite Robe Noire Intense

La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain was created in 2009 by Delphine Jelk, initially for a fairly confidential purpose. Indeed, it was only sold in Guerlain's Parisian boutique. Nevertheless, at the time, it met with great success among customers. After a few small changes, it was then marketed on a larger scale, starting in 2012. It has therefore been 10 years that its renown has remained intact. To celebrate its anniversary, Guerlain decided, in 2022, to give it more power. This is how La Petite Robe Noire Intense was born.

La Petite Robe Noire Intense, the portrait of an irreverent Parisian woman

La Petite Robe Noire Intense seems to emerge in Paris, where one does not expect it. However, once one meets its gaze and becomes intoxicated by its scent, it seems impossible to forget it! This perfume embodies a seductive woman who strides along the Parisian pavement with her dancing gait. The clicking of her heels resounds on the pavement. Her smiles are enticing. Her sillage, meanwhile, delights hearts! La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain is unmistakably inspired by the style of Parisian women. It is an ode to elegance, love and freedom. It is a concentrate of joie de vivre with a contagious optimism.

The dark pink bottle of La Petite Robe Noire Intense

La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain comes with a bit of history... Indeed, like its predecessors, it is presented in a historic Guerlain bottle. This one was first created in 1912, before being transformed by Serge Mansau. Reused several times, it is recognizable by its cap shaped like an inverted heart and its comma-shaped shoulders. Its pink gradient, meanwhile, has darkened slightly. Thus, this bottle echoes its new intensity. Note that it is also made from recycled glass, in order to reduce its carbon footprint on the environment.

The floral and gourmand breath of La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain

Like all the perfumes in the same collection, La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain releases a very floral breath. Delphine Jelk, the perfumer in charge of its creation, explains: rose is the main character of the composition, it is its heart, its soul. It thus occupies a central place in its formula. It is illuminated with orange blossom while being accompanied by an opulent jasmine. The result is a very generous bouquet of flowers. This is first introduced by a fruity trio, composed of bergamot, blueberry and raspberry. The gourmand character, meanwhile, shows through in a duo of cotton candy and vanilla. Finally, La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain gains longevity on contact with patchouli, sandalwood and white musks. Its alcohol, lastly, is made from beets from organic farming.

The advertising

A true icon of feminine perfumery, La Petite Robe Noire never stops making headlines. Year after year, it transforms and takes on more couture, more springlike or more glamorous looks... However, its philosophy remains the same: to beautify the world with its good mood and stride across the globe with its sparkling gait. In 2016, La Petite Robe Noire became a more intense Eau de Parfum. Naturally, this gourmand fragrance is also accompanied by an all-new advertisement. So, what about the new adventures of this little silhouette drawn in India ink? Let us follow it in its new television campaign!

La Petite Robe Noire, a silhouette drawn by the duo Kentzel & Deygas

In terms of communication, what greatly differentiates La Petite Robe Noire from other feminine perfumes comes down to its face of the campaign... Indeed, with it, there is no question of world-famous models or actresses. La Petite Robe Noire is enough on its own! On screen, it is embodied by a small character rendered in India ink, which owes its existence to the design duo Kentzel & Deygas. True jacks-of-all-trades in graphic design, they invented a whole universe of its own: a kind of Chinese portrait, in a few brushstrokes, of the woman or women who would embody this La Petite Robe Noire. Feminine and always cheerful, La Petite Robe Noire has since been declined in various animated films. It is recognizable above all by its confident stride, striding along the Parisian pavement in high-heeled pumps.

La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain conquers the greatest capitals

As always, for the launch of La Petite Robe Noire Intense, this feminine silhouette is staged in a short animated film. Moreover, all of Guerlain's signature codes are present, starting with the collection's iconic musical theme: These Boots Are Made For Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra. It must be said that it is particularly cheerful and suits the image of this fragrance perfectly!
As usual, everything begins with a vision of La Petite Robe Noire in the streets of Paris. The Eiffel Tower appears in the background, in a blue hue, while the Pont Alexandre III looks as if hand-sketched. Then, La Petite Robe Noire Intense flies off to Venice and its gondolas. Slipping on her sneakers, she reaches New York and even appears on the giant screens of Times Square. Red Square in Moscow then opens its arms to her, and La Petite Robe Noire even ends up flying off into space alongside an astronaut! The whole Earth seems to belong to her... This mini clip ends with the vision of the new bottle of La Petite Robe Noire Intense, which itself becomes a small satellite orbiting our planet. Unmistakably, La Petite Robe Noire has succeeded in its wager: winning the hearts of women across the globe!
