In a single breath, Guerlain carries us into the new world of Shalimar, this is Shalimar Souffle de Parfum. This new composition brings together exceptional essences. Shalimar Souffle de Parfum opens on bright, vivid notes with the bite of lemon, the liveliness of mandarin and the citrus breath of bergamot. It then evolves toward a luminous, highly feminine heart. It releases an armful of sambac jasmine from India, paired with orange blossom. The latter has been worked so as to let its most honeyed facet emerge. Shalimar Souffle de Parfum progresses gradually toward a base that is more enveloping and, above all, more sensual. Vanilla and white musks lend their power to make this scent even more addictive. In a province of India, long ago, Emperor Shah was madly in love with his beloved, Princess Muntaz Mahal. He wanted to create something equal to that love, so that it would remain immortal. That is how he designed for her the lush gardens of Shalimar, the setting for their love. Upon his wife's death, the emperor dedicated to her the gardens of Shalimar and the beautiful Taj Mahal. It is this extraordinary story that inspired Jacques Guerlain to create the mythical Shalimar. Delightfully carnal, Shalimar is the first oriental perfume in the world. Today, Shalimar Souffle de Parfum moves with its tenderness, its softness. The iconic Shalimar bottle is back. It has been revisited with an entirely new decoration.
