Man Intense

Man Intense is the darker version of Jimmy Choo Man, launched in 2016 and composed by Anne Flipo, who had signed the original. The Eau de Toilette keeps the lavender and patchouli pairing, adds black pepper, davana, and tonka bean, and sets it on an amber base of cistus. The house intends it for a bold, seductive man with a rock spirit.

Where to buy

Jimmy Choo, a London house born around footwear and grown into a luxury brand, released its first men's fragrance in 2014. Two years later, Man Intense extends this masculine lineage: Anne Flipo, who had composed the original, delivers a deeper version of it.

The house presents Man Intense as a sensual fragrance, designed for a powerful, bold and seductive man. In France, it describes him as one who likes to play with fire, willingly gives in to temptation and retains a little of the allure of a sixties Mayfair playboy.

The fragrance takes as its foundation the lavender-patchouli duo of Jimmy Choo Man. The house adds a touch of black pepper and three notes it presents as new, honey melon, davana, and tonka bean, although melon already featured in the original.

The Intense belongs to a lineage that also includes Man Ice, Man Blue, Man Aqua and Man Extreme. Since 2016, Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira has lent his features to the campaigns for these men's fragrances, following actor Kit Harington.

Olfastory’s review

The available review sees Man Intense as an autumn fragrance that quickly leaves melon behind for a soft, powdery leather, lasting several hours, and recommends it without reservation.

Marlon Teixeira, face of the Intense

In 2016, Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira became, after Kit Harington, the face of Jimmy Choo men's fragrances and carried the Man Intense campaign.

In June 2016, Jimmy Choo entrusted the face of Jimmy Choo Man to Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira, whom the fashion press readily compares to Kit Harington, his predecessor. Leather motorcycle jacket, frontal gaze, the image plays on cold tones.

Teixeira also lends his features to Man Intense, launched the same year, and has remained since then the face of every flanker in the line, from Man Blue in 2018 to Man Extreme.
