Drew, author of the men's blog Tailor & Barber, is first surprised that a fragrance named Intense is an Eau de Toilette rather than an Eau de Parfum. The name, he writes, does not bother him, but he is keen to warn his readers of this difference.
He describes a light, sweet melon opening, less fruity and less lasting than that of Jimmy Choo Man. After about twenty minutes, the fragrance slips toward a soft leather, absent from the announced notes, which he attributes to the play of patchouli.
Hours later, he still detects a powdery, leathery note joined by fresh woods, which he finds present six to eight hours after application. He judges it suited to autumn, more for daytime without ruling out evening wear, and recommends it.
