Where to buy

Today, the fashion house is run by the LVMH group, which has preserved the spirit of the brand. Between timeless chic, elegance and aristocracy, Givenchy has managed to leave an indelible mark on the world of luxury. In 1986, two years after Ysatis, the house unveiled Xeryus. A masculine fragrance for modern times.

Givenchy and its mystical hero

After creating his mythical goddess Ysatis, Givenchy decided he needed a masculine counterpart and imagined Xeryus, his Greek hero, since that is precisely the name of a Greek god. Half man, half centaur, Xeryus represents the hero of modern times. He is a mysterious man who seems elusive. He appeals to and attracts women, but he only has eyes for his goddess Ysatis, with whom he now forms a mythical couple. Xeryus is the fragrance of a man hungry for power, who does not hesitate to wage battles and defy events. Bold, he is always at the height of his elegance. The refinement of Xeryus earned it a place in the very select Les Parfums Mythiques collection by Givenchy.

Xeryus, ultra masculine notes

While considered a conqueror, Xeryus remains a virile man. Xeryus opens on bright and striking notes such as bergamot and grapefruit. A bouquet of aromatics then joins in, lavender, clary sage and basil. The heart is greener with the presence of juniper and tarragon. Then, violet flowers, more often used in feminine fragrances, add a touch of lightness and softness. The base is woody and virile, containing sandalwood, guaiac wood, vetiver and oakmoss. Musk wraps the whole in strong sensuality. A new bottle takes up the emblematic codes of Givenchy's mythical fragrances. Rectangular, the bottle is transparent with a cap that is also transparent, offering a genuine touch of elegance. Xeryus presents all the refinement and seduction of the greatest fragrances.

In 1986 Givenchy unveiled Xeryus, a Greek hero, but a hero of modern times. Two years earlier, the house had created Ysatis, a Greek goddess, soft and sensual. Together, they form Givenchy's mythical couple. With its virile and masculine notes, Xeryus is a strong and elegant composition. Xeryus is the chic and refinement of the great house that is Givenchy.
