Jimmy Choo
While some houses have carried forward the image of the Haute Couture Haute Parfumerie tradition for several centuries, others prove to be very contemporary. Such is the case with the Jimmy Choo label, a new player in the prestige industry, but by no means a minor one.

OrientalJimmy Choo, a 21st-century luxury house
The Jimmy Choo house was born from the imagination of a shoemaker of the same name. He was born in Malaysia and then lived in China before moving abroad to London. He comes from a family of shoemakers and made his first shoe at barely 11 years old. He then studied in England, at the London College of Fashion, from which he graduated in 1983. From then on, in 1986, he opened his first shoemaking shop. By 1988, he was noticed by Vogue Magazine, which published some of his creations. He then had the pleasure of offering some of his products to the greatest names of the international jet-set, notably Princess Diana. The Jimmy Choo company as we know it today was founded in 1996. Sandra Choi, niece of Jimmy Choo, became its creative director, a position she still holds today, while Jimmy Choo left the company in 2001. From then on, Jimmy Choo's success was immense, expanding internationally and notably in the United States. Today, many stars swear by this house, and Jimmy Choo has accordingly signed collaborations with the greatest names such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Viktor & Rolf. Today, Jimmy Choo is internationally recognized for its shoes made in Italy as well as for its accessories and handbags. Its fashion, meanwhile, proves to be particularly sexy and perfectly attuned to the spirit of the times. A true pioneer in the art of dressing celebrities, Jimmy Choo is without doubt one of the shoe houses to have most often walked the red carpet in Cannes.
Jimmy Choo perfumery
Eager to push its expertise ever further, Jimmy Choo also extended its activity to perfumery. The first Jimmy Choo fragrance thus came into being in 2011. It is a highly sensual juice created by French perfumer Olivier Polge. It revolves around a bouquet of orchid, freesia and lily of the valley and proves to be a particularly sexy and seductive floral. It thus fits perfectly with the glamorous image of the Jimmy Choo woman. What is more, it contains toffee, a distinctly English and gourmand note that suits it perfectly. Likewise, to seduce the house's luxury clientele even further, Jimmy Choo did not hesitate to design its bottle in Murano glass, an island located not far from Venice and renowned for its unrivaled expertise in glassmaking. Thus, although Jimmy Choo is now a house present in more than 35 countries, its renown may well not be done spreading.
