J’adore Voile de Parfum is the eau de toilette Dior added to the J’adore line in the spring of 2013. François Demachy brings in Tuscan iris, which opens the composition, ahead of Damascena rose and a base of white musks: a powdery floral the house wanted as light as a veil. It keeps the J’adore amphora, with a pinker juice.
The J’adore amphora, designed by Hervé Van der Straeten and circled with golden rings, holds here a pink juice leaning toward peach.
J’adore Voile de Parfum keeps the J’adore amphora, designed in 1999 by jewelry and object designer Hervé Van der Straeten. Its silhouette echoes the amphora Christian Dior had given Miss Dior, his first perfume.
Its elongated neck is circled with golden rings. Van der Straeten says he drew them from the necklaces of the Padaung women of Burma, which John Galliano had reinterpreted for a Dior show.
Only the color of the juice sets Voile de Parfum apart within the line: a pinker hue that leans toward peach.
