Idôle Aura

Idôle Aura, the new fragrance from the house Lancôme. Perfumery is not solely an art meant to enhance an outfit for the length of a season. Indeed, the greatest fragrances have the ability to leave a mark on history or bear witness to their era. They mark an entire generation and bring a breath of novelty into everyday life.

Because the greatest fragrances are also a testament to the society in which they exist, Idôle Aura by Lancôme speaks precisely to contemporary women. It embodies on its own the diversity of femininity, bringing together the most inspiring, conquering and daring women of our time. With a floral breath of rose and jasmine, it also unveils, for the very first time, a salty accord. Its bottle, meanwhile, is no exception. Idôle Aura by Lancôme is fitted with one of the finest glass cases in the world. A breakdown of its design.

Who is Chafik Gasmi, creator of the Idôle Aura bottle?

Idôle Aura owes its bottle to a talented architect and designer: Chafik Gasmi. Originally from Algiers, this talented visionary began his career in 1987, designing an entire hotel in Paris, including its interior and furniture. Shortly after his debut, Chafik Gasmi received the Grand Prix de la Critique for the whole of his work. Since then, his successes have followed one another, and the greatest brands no longer hesitate to call on his services, as shown by Dominique Mandonnaud, founder of Sephora, who decided to entrust him with the artistic direction of his megastore on the Champs-Élysées. This collaboration with the world of perfumery is therefore not a first. Chafik Gasmi had already worked for Lancôme in the past, having been in charge of directing the creation of the house's new identity starting in 2011. As a result, in 2016, he received the Prix Janus du Design and the Oscar de la Cosmétique for his Lancôme store concept.

The ultra-flat design of the Idôle Aura bottle by Lancôme

Idôle Aura is housed in what is nicknamed “the thinnest bottle in the world”. Indeed, it is only 15 mm thick. Its straight silhouette has slightly rounded edges. Depending on its size, Idôle Aura is either square or rectangular. More specifically, it is inspired by the shape of a new-generation smartphone. Easy to carry, it slips easily into any handbag and proves as futuristic as it is glamorous. To carry it safely, Lancôme also sells a plastic case designed to protect it. It is particularly comfortable to hold, and Idôle Aura offers an intuitive gesture. It comes in three sizes, 25, 50 or 75 ml.

The new color of Idôle Aura by Lancôme

Finally, in terms of color, Idôle Aura is simply darker than the previous Idôle from 2019. Its natural aura unfolds in a dark gradient at its center, becoming more pearly and light toward the outer edges. The whole is further enhanced by a gold spray cap. Together, it evokes the softness of feminine skin combined with the luxurious, shimmering look of gold. No one can then resist the temptation.
