Among its most loyal employees, Adriana Medina has held a position there since the start of her career. A look back at her career and her finest works.

Adriana Medina, trained at the Givaudan school

To enter the very closed world of perfumery, Adriana Medina chose to train at the Givaudan school, more than 70 years old. This school ensures excellent training for the perfumers of tomorrow, respecting an artisanal know-how and a tradition going back several centuries. The Givaudan school is an opportunity to prepare the next generation of perfumers, who will continue to perfect their craft in the group's creation centers, confides Gilles Andrier, chief executive officer of Givaudan, the school trains them to work closely with the company's clients, in order to create eloquent fragrances for prestigious brands and manufacturers of functional perfumery around the world. It is thus following this philosophy that Adriana Medina was trained.

Adriana Medina's career at Givaudan

Alongside her degree, obtained in 2000, Adriana Medina first held a position as trainee chemist and perfumer for six years, still at Givaudan. Indeed, a simple degree is not enough to fully master the complexity of perfumery. Only years of experience are enough to acquire sufficient knowledge to create fragrances with complete autonomy. Following these six years, Adriana Medina became a junior perfumer. Recognition, for its part, came in 2004. It was on this date that Adriana Medina finally became a perfumer, a position she held for seven years, until 2011. She then became a senior perfumer, never leaving the company that had trained her. Very attached to the Swiss house, Adriana Medina is now its vice president, a position she has held since April 2015.

Over the course of this already well-filled career, and after climbing every rung one by one, Adriana Medina can boast of having worked with the greatest luxury houses on the planet such as Lancôme or Victoria's Secret. Most recently, it was she who created the fragrance Idôle, already present on all our screens and on all our perfumery shelves, easily identifiable thanks to its bottle described as the finest in the world.
