Ylang & Fleur de Sel
Like the scent of a vacation with the new eau de toilette from Berdoues Berdoues is one of the greatest French perfume houses. Founded in 1902, the house has continually evolved its perfumery, never forgetting its prestigious past while looking toward the future.

Where to buy
This is precisely what is found in its new fragrance collection. Named 1902, in tribute to its founding date, it brings together several contemporary and natural fragrances, inspired by the Eaux de Cologne of the past. Among them, one reference stands out as particularly sun-kissed. Focus on Ylang & Fleur de Sel, a journey to a paradise island, at the heart of the blue waves.
1902, a collection paying tribute to the history of Berdoues
1902 is a collection that reminds us where the house of Berdoues comes from. Indeed, it was on this date that everything began, when Pierre and Guillaume Berdoues decided to launch their first Eau de Cologne. Certainly, some today might judge this type of composition somewhat outdated. Yet it must be acknowledged that Eaux de Cologne were, for a very long time, the only fragrances worn by the majority of French people. These essences are therefore part of our collective memory, and stand as an excellent testimony to our heritage. This is why Berdoues decided to draw inspiration from them to create an authentic and natural olfactory blend. To this, the house added an extra dose of originality through the use of a few unexpected ingredients. The longevity, sorely lacking in the original Eaux de Cologne, has also been reinforced. Berdoues delivers here fragrances that are timeless, with a distinctly retro character that is far from unwelcome.
Ylang & Fleur de Sel, a fragrance inspired by the seabed
Berdoues sets the scene right away with its packaging. Ylang & Fleur de Sel comes in a lovely box decorated with flowers and coral, in a very exotic spirit. The colors of its cardboard box are white, turquoise and coral red, for a feminine and vibrant ambiance. Inside is hidden a 100 ml bottle, with a timeless style. Its cylindrical shape brings to mind a vial straight out of an apothecary shelf. Its turquoise blue color evokes the waters of a distant lagoon. A classic white label bears the name of this fragrance alongside the date 1902. Finally, the whole is topped with a more modern chrome cap.
On the scent side, Ylang & Fleur de Sel is like a wet, salty skin effect gilded by the sun. It all begins with a fresh and invigorating scent, lightly salty and iodic, like sea spray. Then, the heart of Ylang & Fleur de Sel becomes more floral. Jasmine and ylang-ylang warm the atmosphere while bringing a more feminine and luminous touch. Finally, the Berdoues fragrance closes with a more sensual touch of musk, further amplified by amber. The sun-kissed and luminous fragrance of Ylang & Fleur de Sel leaves behind a light and delicate sillage, very pleasant to wear on a hot summer day.
