Dior opens the century with a stripped-down masculine, where a green pear meets a dry cypress.

The 2001 masculine

Dior launches Higher in 2001. The house releases Forever and Ever and the Dior Addict lipstick the same year; Higher Energy will appear two years later, alongside Chris 1947.

The catalog credits Olivier Pescheux and Olivier Gillotin. The accord holds to few materials: citrus and aromatics at the opening, pear at the center, cypress and musks for the base.

Higher is one of the thirteen juices that Francis Kurkdjian revived after four years of work. They return in a shared bottle and take the shelf place of the versions sold until then.

Kurkdjian sorted the thirteen under two headings. Higher falls under Dior à Paris, bounded by 1979 and 2003, which brings together Jules, Dolce Vita, the two Dune, Forever and Ever and Higher Energy.
