Where to buy

More modern and avant-garde than its predecessors, it does not hesitate to reinvent Guerlain's most famous essences to bring them up to date. However, Thierry Wasser does not forget the house's rich heritage either. As proof, the Aqua Allegoria collection takes us back to a bygone era and evokes the scent of the Eaux de Cologne of the past. Today, this collection is further enriched by a newcomer. Guerlain decides to set up in Sicily and transports us to the Mediterranean. Its fragrance Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia is a highly sun-kissed getaway!

The Aqua Allegoria, escapes into gardens around the world

Orange Soleia comes from the Aqua Allegoria collection. As such, like each of them, it draws on the freshness of the Eaux de Cologne, while modernizing them and giving them more character and longevity. Furthermore, all of Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria share another common trait: each is inspired by a particular garden, emblematic of a region of the globe. In turn, the Aqua Allegoria have taken us to Venezuela, India, Spain, or even across the Indian Ocean. This time, the mood is entirely different. The journey unfolds at the heart of the Mediterranean: in a vast field of Sicilian citrus.

Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia, the freshness of citrus comes to Sicily

Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia transports us to the southern tip of Italy in a matter of seconds, from its very first breath. It offers a sun-kissed yet refreshing getaway at the heart of a citrus field. Its sharp opening, rich with blood orange and bergamot, is enough to plunge us into the heart of Sicily. Furthermore, as if to evoke the untamed temperament of Mediterranean women, Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia is also charged with spices, and more particularly pink pepper. Its heart, meanwhile, remains just as fresh but becomes more mentholated. Little by little, the mood warms with the touch of tonka bean and woods. Finally, Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia closes with a more sensual, animalic note of musk. This Eau de Toilette embodies the spirit of blood orange elevated by the energizing freshness of bergamot and woody notes.

The return of Guerlain's Bee Bottle

Like all of Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria fragrances, Orange Soleia nestles into a bottle directly inspired by the iconic Bee Bottle. As a reminder, this is a prestigious glass vessel that first came into being in 1853, for the Eau de Cologne Impériale, intended for Empress Eugénie. Here, its cylindrical shape is preserved. Its transparent glass allows a glimpse of an orange-hued juice. The whole is topped with a finely chiseled honeycomb dome, covered in a shimmering gold lacquer. Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia plays with light and displays a sun-kissed side, both in its scent and in its visual.

The advertising

The Aqua Allegoria collection is one of Guerlain's most celebrated fragrance lines. Each of these juices is conceived as a luminous, sparkling interpretation of a garden from a very particular area of the globe. From India to Réunion Island, by way of Venezuela or California, each fragrance projects us to a very particular place. All are also inspired by the eaux de Cologne of the past. Highly refreshing, they come in a modern reinterpretation of the legendary Bee Bottle, created in 1853 for the Eau de Cologne Impériale. Here, Guerlain chooses to bring them back into the spotlight with a brand-new advertisement. Set to the upbeat title Whishing Girl by Lola Marsh, the Aqua Allegoria bottles emerge from a clear, delightfully fragrant water. More than ever, this new campaign is an invitation to rediscover these cult fragrances…

Orange Soleia, the sun-kissed scent of Sicily

Finally, Orange Soleia projects us to the heart of Sicily, unfolding a luminous and highly refreshing freshness. Orange and bergamot give it a zesty scent, while spicing it with pink pepper. Almond then sends a true breath of freshness wafting through, brightened with petitgrain. Little by little, the whole warms with musk and tonka bean, for a rounder, more animalic finish.
