Each fragrance in the beautiful Escales de Dior collection draws on a passion or a dream. For Escale à Portofino, Dior drew on its creator's passion for Tuscany; with Escale à Pondichéry, the famous house renewed its historic ties with India. For Escale aux Marquises, on the other hand, the connection to Polynesia was a dream of paradise.

As for Escale à Parati, the journey to Brazil it proposes is no accident, since the house of Dior has long maintained close ties with this gentle South American country. As early as 1957, Christian Dior's Gaines et Gorges collection became known in Brazilian territories and never left them. Moreover, in 1961, a Dior haute couture show took over the Copacabana hotel in Rio and the Jockey Club in São Paulo, the two most prominent gathering places of Brazilian high society, to present its new designs with a success that foretold a bright future.

From then on, Christian Dior would consistently be particularly appreciated in São Paulo or Rio for its haute couture collections or, more surprisingly, for its beachwear collections, even as the country and its many beach and leisure destinations already offered a multitude of designers.

Finally, this modernized Cologne, set to the sound of the samba, ends in a sensual, warm sillage of amber and tonka bean.
