Where to buy

It is the very interpretation of the Lacoste spirit, possessing an innate sense of elegance while retaining an ever-present sporty spirit. Let's take a closer look at what the crocodile's new fragrance has to offer.

The elegant bottle of L'Homme Lacoste

First of all, let's take a closer look at the new bottle of L'Homme Lacoste. This fragrance comes in a contemporary, understated and streamlined container. It comes in two different sizes, namely 50 ml and 100 ml. Made entirely of glass, this bottle draws directly on the graphic lines and colors of tennis. Its rectangular shape thus recalls that of the court. The transparency of its glass, meanwhile, reveals an orange-colored juice evocative of the anticipation of the clay court. The name L'Homme Lacoste appears discreetly on the front, directly topped by the house's famous crocodile in a silver tone. The whole is also topped with an elegant black chromed metal cap. The overall result is particularly refined.

The woody and spicy fragrance of L'Homme

In terms of scent, Lacoste called on perfumer Michel Girard to create this new fragrance. This renowned creator works for the famous Givaudan group and is now among the most illustrious perfumers in the world. We owe him numerous best-sellers in a wide range of styles. Here, he chose to deliver a fragrance that is both understated, contemporary and nuanced. L'Homme Lacoste opens with a fruity and fresh burst, dominated by the presence of lemon. Rhubarb, for its part, adds a tangier facet here. More powerful spicy accents also shake things up, made up notably of ginger and black pepper. Jasmine then lends the whole composition all its elegance and opulence. This emblematic perfumery flower is finally enriched with woody notes. L'Homme Lacoste ends with a blend of cedar and Akigalawood. These two very masculine ingredients are also surrounded by the creamy, animalic sensuality of musk, vanilla and almonds.

A look back at the history of the Lacoste crocodile

Naturally, the famous Lacoste crocodile is once again clearly showcased on this fragrance. It plunges us directly into the history of the Lacoste brand, having been present within the house since its founding, in 1933. In fact, its story stems from a bet made in 1923 between René Lacoste and his tennis coach, Alan Muhr. The latter had promised to give him a crocodile-skin suitcase if he won his next match. Unfortunately, the match was lost, but René Lacoste was nonetheless dubbed the crocodile who never lets go of its prey by the sports press. The legend was launched, and it is precisely this legend that appears on the front of the L'Homme Lacoste fragrance.
