Explorer Ultra Blue
A scent of vacation with the new Explorer Ultra Blue by Montblanc. For April 19, 2021, the house Montblanc announces the release of a new fragrance for men, inspired by the greatest adventurers. For those who are constantly taking on new challenges, this fragrance is made for them.

Where to buy
Drawing inspiration from pioneers, and more precisely from the three founders of the Montblanc brand, Explorer Ultra Blue takes us to other lands. More specifically, it draws its source from all the blue elements of nature and lets an aquatic breath float through daily life.
Explorer Ultra Blue, a refreshing and eco-responsible fragrance
Explorer Ultra Blue by Montblanc was created by three talented perfumers: Jordi Fernandez, Olivier Pescheux and Antoine Maisondieu. These three creators chose to offer a highly refreshing olfactory palette, at times marine, woody or aquatic. With Explorer Ultra Blue, it all begins with a fresh and spicy blend of bergamot, exotic fruits and pink pepper. Its heart, meanwhile, becomes more marine, combining a maritime and ozonic accord with ambergris. Little by little, the masculinity of Explorer Ultra Blue resurfaces with renewed strength in a woody trail of Indonesian patchouli and leather. It is worth noting that the ingredients used in Montblanc's Explorer Ultra Blue all come from Givaudan's Sourcing for Shared Value program, supporting local producers with sustainable and ethical practices.
Explorer Ultra Blue, the fragrance of an adventurer
Explorer Ultra Blue is intended for all modern-day adventurers, eager to travel the world or embark on a new thrilling epic. Whether one wishes to climb a summit, swim across the sea or launch a new venture, all these adventures are as stimulating for the body as for the mind. Montblanc makes ambition one of its greatest values, and it is precisely this that is celebrated in this fragrance. Explorer Ultra Blue invites its wearer on a new journey, pushing them to always strive higher toward excellence.
The elegant bottle by Montblanc
Explorer Ultra Blue has a bottle as refined as it is timeless. Forming a thick glass cylinder, its bottle rests on a transparent and thick base. Its walls are wrapped in a Saffiano-patterned leather in a new blue shade, itself bearing the Montblanc emblem: a six-pointed star representing the six highest peaks of the Mont Blanc massif. This star is hand-applied to the leather by the renowned Pelleteria Montblanc in Florence, prestigious workshops that craft Montblanc's finest leather goods creations. The whole is further topped with a metallic cap, for added light and modernity. Finally, since this is a fragrance for adventurers, it is naturally also available in a travel size of 30 ml. With Explorer Ultra Blue by Montblanc, one's favorite scent will never leave.

French Alps and Lake Annecy
Rein Langeveld photographed by John Balsom between Lake Annecy and the peaks of the French Alps, with water and mountain as the protagonists.
Rein Langeveld poses in front of John Balsom's lens for the campaign, over the course of a journey that confronts him with the blues of the sky, a lake and the highest peaks of the French Alps. The Dutch model and adventurer has been the ambassador of Montblanc Explorer fragrances since 2019 and reprises the role he held in the line's previous campaign.
The film shoot took place on the shores of Lake Annecy, where the model was met between takes; in the visual, he pilots a Riva on that same lake. The staging presents the mountains and the water as protagonists of the narrative, on equal footing with the explorer.
The line then continues with Explorer Platinum, whose film is directed by Simon Schmitt for Iconoclast and features the same Rein Langeveld, described as the face of the Explorer collection since its launch.
