Today, we finally have the privilege of tasting this divine nectar, which stands as one of the most beautiful anthologies of Guerlain's favorite accords.

When the precious fragrance of Randa Hammami is put into a bottle, it becomes Mon Précieux Nectar

The collaboration between Sylvaine Delacourte and Randa Hammami proved highly fruitful when it came to oriental scents. Together the two women composed L'Instant Magic, Insolence eau glacée, as well as Cruel Gardénia and Moscow. Sylvaine Delacourte, house creative director, notes that the perfumer is one of the masters of the oriental note, which she handles to perfection, whatever facets one wishes to give it.

Naturally, the house of Guerlain turned to Randa Hammami to compose an elixir drawing on the most precious of Guerlain's greatest notes. This floral, musky and, of course, oriental elixir was presented in 2009 in a fountain holding only one liter at the Guerlain boutique on the Champs-Élysées. It was named Mon Précieux Nectar and revealed its powers to only 62 clients, who spent €6,000 per bottle purely for the pleasure of dipping into it for the duration of a single spray.

In the fountain was the fragrance composed by Randa: Mon Précieux Nectar. An unprecedented fragrance of rare elegance, floral, subtly fruity and musky and gourmand, it is one of those that, upon discovering it, one says has the makings of greatness. Despite its prohibitive cost and evident rarity, Mon Précieux Nectar has become a cult object, such is the supremacy of its beauty. Thanks to the lovely Les Parisiennes collection, we will finally have the pleasure of tasting this essence of happiness, like an olfactory honey crafted by the pretty bees on its bottle.

Mon Précieux Nectar, or the elegance of Guerlain accords taken to its peak

As one might well expect, Mon Précieux Nectar is composed of the most beautiful and rarest raw materials in perfumery. As for its traditional bee bottle, it radiates as much as Randa Hammami's composition, which reads as an olfactory honey that is at once enveloping, sun-kissed and even somewhat gourmand.

Mon Précieux Nectar offers the delicate marriage of a citrus note of petitgrain and an almost pastry-like bitter almond, offering a top-flight departure from the very top notes. At the heart, the delicate and so ardent orange blossom and jasmine flowers offer the beauty and luminosity of their radiance, giving this Précieux Nectar the most Guerlain-like floral notes. Finally, sandalwood and guaiac wood blend with vanilla to form a chic Guerlinade, while incense and white musks form a mysterious yet comforting cloud that leaves us, definitively, in a halo of golden light…
