Shalimar Eau de Parfum Limited Edition 2020 is clearly inspired by its predecessors. Indeed, its bottle still forms a vast shape resting on a chiseled foot, slightly shorter than the one it originally had. Its amber color, for its part, remains ever present, making this fragrance a juice resembling molten gold. A midnight blue cap sits atop the whole, evoking the gleaming fountains springing up in the gardens of Shalimar. The real novelty of Shalimar Eau de Parfum Limited Edition 2020 lies rather in the blue drawings running across its glass walls. Drawing inspiration from the main notes of its fragrance, Guerlain chose to depict a mix of citrus, flowers and leaves, for a rendering that is delicate and highly feminine. As a side note, the very first version of the Shalimar bottle was designed in 1925 by Raymond Guerlain, in collaboration with the house of Baccarat. It even won first prize at the Paris International Exhibition of Decorative Arts that same year.
