Sauvage Very Cool Spray

Dior describes Very Cool Spray through the three materials that sign Sauvage: Reggio di Calabria bergamot, Sichuan pepper and Ambroxan. Demachy shapes this bergamot with local producers within a supply chain reserved for Dior, to obtain a made-to-measure signature.

The house describes it as soaked in Calabrian sun, fruitier than average, zesty and lifted by a hint of pepper. Sichuan pepper adds a spicy vibration with lemony, slightly camphoraceous accents, and Ambroxan, which the house links to ambergris, marine woody notes.

The launch notes

The notes announced in 2017 gather grapefruit, bergamot and pepper at the top; lavender, Sichuan pepper, pink pepper, geranium, patchouli, vetiver and elemi at the heart; Ambroxan and cedar at the base.

Of these notes, only grapefruit was missing from the 2015 eau de toilette. For Very Cool Spray, Dior publishes formula #15521: water appears before perfume, whereas the current eau de toilette lists perfume before water; it names no essential oil and declares no colorant.
