Pierre Négrin

While Grasse is a Mediterranean city known as the world capital of perfume, many large groups specializing in fragrance manufacturing are now also based across the Atlantic, in New York. It is there, and more specifically within the company Firmenich, that the perfumer Pierre Négrin works.

Pierre Négrin's American career

As will quickly become apparent from his distinctly French-sounding name, Pierre Négrin is by no means a native-born American. Nevertheless, he has made this country his adopted homeland. Pierre Négrin began his career at Givaudan but now works for the New York subsidiary of Firmenich. There he holds the position of perfumer within the house's Fine Fragrances division.

Pierre Négrin's creations

Pierre Négrin has had the opportunity to work for major groups belonging to the luxury industry. In this capacity, he has collaborated with Ralph Lauren, signing the perfume Blue for them, with Tom Ford as the creator of Black Orchid, and also with Amouage on the perfumes Opus VII and Interlude Man.
