Miss Dior Chérie is the fragrance Dior entrusted in 2005 to Christine Nagel, under the direction of John Galliano, for the centenary of Christian Dior's birth. Green mandarin and strawberry leaf open onto a heart of wild strawberry sorbet and caramelised popcorn, which patchouli and musk close. The name disappeared in 2011.
The bottle keeps the classic shape of the 1947 Miss Dior and adds to it, Galliano says, a little metal bow. Two sizes, 50 and 100 millilitres.
Dior did not draw a new bottle. Galliano says he kept the classic side of the older one and signed it with a little metal bow at the neck, the only departure from the 1947 elder.
The fragrance appeared in two sizes, fifty and one hundred millilitres, sold at 65.60 and 93.34 euros at the launch of 2 May 2005.
The packaging did not survive the change of name: what carries the Miss Dior label today is another bottle for another juice.
