Mini Jupe

The miniskirt appeared in the 60s and literally revolutionized the world of fashion. Invented by Mary Quant, this garment remains often associated with André Courrèges. Indeed, it was he who propelled it into the spotlight and made it a centerpiece of his wardrobe.

What is more, the designer liked to boast that he was the first to have raised “a hemline so high on the white thighs of women”. The house Courrèges allowed its customers to become emancipated and showed unmatched daring. Thanks to it, women dared to display their bodies and distinguished themselves radically from their elders. They became more arrogant and sexy, to the great delight of the eyes! Today, Courrèges has therefore decided to pay tribute to this era and unveils a brand new perfume named Mini Jupe.

Wanting to convey the image of the miniskirt in the form of a perfume: the idea is quite daring! Indeed, how would one characterize the scent of a garment? Through this perfume, it is a matter of paying tribute to the great André Courrèges, who had died just a little earlier, in January 2016. The current artistic directors of the Courrèges brand thus decided to translate into images, or rather into scent, the idea one has of a woman wearing a miniskirt. From the outset, she appears as a sparkling creature, often cheerful, and terribly sexy!

Now, this is exactly what one senses in the Mini Jupe perfume. This fragrant composition opens with a zesty citrus note, composed of mandarin and grapefruit. This gentle bitterness is also carried on by the more aquatic yet fruity freshness of watermelon. Then, the femininity of Mini Jupe takes over and appears in its floral heart dominated by the opulence of jasmine. A smooth and warm vanilla comes to wrap the whole. Finally, the sensual side of Mini Jupe resurfaces in its sillage and this perfume ends with a more animalic and seductive breath of musk.

The geometric bottle of Courrèges for Mini Jupe

For many years, the house Courrèges had accustomed us to a very specific bottle design. Its bottle consisted of a cylindrical base topped with an oversized sphere as a cap. Nevertheless, this habit was completely overturned in 2016 with the creation of the perfume Hyperbole.

Now, the bottle of Mini Jupe adopts the same silhouette as that of this latest juice. Mini Jupe is presented to us in a bottle with a rectangular base. This monolith of clear glass now lets us glimpse the very feminine color of a soft pink juice. On its front face, its name is written in white capital letters, not without originality. This white lacquer is moreover perfectly matched to the opacity of its cap. This one again takes an unexpected shape. It is a white circle, hollowed out at its spray nozzle. Mini Jupe has a timeless look. Like the garment it represents, it could well become a great classic of femininity!
