The house Courrèges represents everything that is most innovative and daring in the field of haute couture as well as in the field of perfumery. In choosing to revive this label in 2012, the two new artistic directors also chose to reconnect with the legendary daring that made the reputation of André Courrèges, the founder, and of the Courrèges collections. Mini Jupe, released in 2018 and composed by the same brilliant perfumers as Hyperbole, thus sets out to bring a gourmand and fresh air to unexpected accords. The spirit is still very much alive!

Crossing through time and eras while continuing to outpace fashion and desires by leaps and bounds, such was the challenge largely won by André Courrèges in the 60s, and such is the challenge for Frédéric Torloting and Jacques Bungert for the years to come at Courrèges. And it must be said that the label, iconic as it was in the 60s and 70s, has suffered… This does not, however, prevent it today from being reborn once again between a vintage spirit turned toward the label's past and collections, as well as perfumes, very much in tune with, if not ahead of, the desires of the new millennium. The whole point being to preserve, with exemplary fidelity, the Courrèges spirit so dear to the two current artistic directors of the house.
We start from a strong idea that continues to tell the story of Courrèges. From this idea, we brief the greatest perfume houses, who offer us different olfactory directions.
This is how the house recently presented Hyperbole, an oriental conceived as a feminine tobacco and a feminine perfume wanted by its two perfumers Antoine Lie and Jean Jacques without flowers, in order to break with current trends deemed too classic for a house as avant-garde as Courrèges.
Naturally, when the same two perfumers of unwavering creativity offer a tribute in perfume to the famous miniskirt that caused such a stir in the 60s, it could only be unprecedented and at least as daring as the few centimeters of skin André Courrèges removed from women's skirts. Mini Jupe, released in April 2018, can therefore only make people talk…

With Hyperbole, Jean Jacques and Antoine Lie wanted a feminine perfume without flowers. With Mini Jupe, the two perfumers would seem to have chosen to offer a gourmand perfume without sugar, but with a dose of fruity floral sensuality far more addictive than the gourmand perfumes we are accustomed to. Once again, Mini Jupe reveals the house Courrèges as definitively unconventional.
Mini Jupe thus opens with notes of mandarin and grapefruit that bring a sparkling and invigorating freshness to this opening, as light as a skirt twirling in the air. Then we discover a magnificent jasmine at the heart, revealing an absolute femininity, where watermelon becomes light and fruity like a pretty skirt spread over legs in the sun. Finally, Mini Jupe reveals to us the absolute power of its rather short length, its sensuality of course! A sensuality that comes through in notes of musk and vanilla, giving this Mini Jupe intense yet always gourmand depths.
