Antoine Lie

Moreover, it begins to develop from our earliest years. As such, many perfumers discover their calling while they are still children. Such was the case for Antoine Lie. Antoine Lie, from Alsace to the Provençal region Antoine Lie is a perfumer from Alsace. From an early age, he developed a particular interest in the world of scents. He thus embarked on chemistry studies, determined to later pursue a perfumery curriculum.

Once he had earned his chemistry degree, he went on to join the prestigious Givaudan school located in Grasse, the world capital of perfumery. This city is known for its Mediterranean climate and its region dotted with numerous flower fields. It was here that Antoine Lie completed his perfumery training. After earning his diploma, Antoine Lie remained with the Givaudan group, a world leader in modern perfumes. He worked within this company until 2011, which allowed him to collaborate with the greatest names in the field. Nevertheless, eager to explore new horizons, Antoine Lie joined the Japanese company Takasago, a specialist in flavor and fragrance production undergoing rapid growth.

Antoine Lie is a colorful character. A man of contrasts, he enjoys creating fragrances in his own image, full of surprises. He thus often crafts compositions full of contradictions. This unpolished, straightforward man also loves fragrances that hit hard and are free of artifice. Antoine Lie is thus the author of Contradiction pour Femme by Calvin Klein, Romance by Ralph Lauren, Armani Code pour Homme, on which he collaborated with Antoine Maisondieu, and Paul Smith London. Likewise, he has found a certain freedom of olfactory creation at Etat Libre D'Orange, for whom he has composed several fragrances.
