Mémoire de Roses

Mémoire de Roses is the rose of L’Artisan Parfumeur, signed by Christophe Raynaud in February 2022. The house describes it as a hybrid of rose and citrus that no rose grower could raise. Three materials carry it: mandarin, rose, and a musk the house calls white, cottony in the words of those who announced it.

Where to buy

February 2022. L’Artisan Parfumeur adds a rose to La Collection, in a pink box, and dedicates it to the queen of flowers.

A rose left undressed

The intention holds in one sentence from the house: do not overdress the flower. The citrus fruits are not there to decorate it but to refresh it, as if to fix the freshness of a passing beauty.

Christophe Raynaud explains his attachment to the material: the rose can tell every story, it always surprises him, it has no limit.

A hybrid nobody grows

The house speaks of a cross between rose and citrus that rose growers could only dream of. That is the subject of the juice: a fruit and a flower held together, with neither taking over the other.

The press at the launch adds three synthetic molecules to the picture, Pétalia, Ambrofix and Georgywood, all three from Givaudan. The house does not name them.

What the house sells

The eau de parfum is sold in 100 ml, engraving of the bottle included, and the market offers it at around €195 to €205. A gift set also exists. The press at the launch announced a limited edition; it is still on sale four years later.
