These fragrances are gathered under the name Escapades de Rochas and rely on more sun-kissed accents. In 2016, Rochas created the Eau de Rochas Escapade en Méditerranée, followed the next year by the Eau de Rochas Escapade Estivale, then by the Eau de Rochas Escapade Tropicale in 2018. Once again, the tradition continues. In this year 2019, the newcomer is named the Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique.

Let us begin by setting the scene for this new fragrance. Since its launch in 1970, Eau de Rochas has had the gift of offering incredible olfactory journeys. It all began with an inspiration from Delphi, when Nicolas Mamounas, the nose of the house of Rochas, was on vacation there. It was there that he had the idea of creating this legendary essence. This time, Rochas decides to take us much further, to a paradisiacal and exotic island. Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique delivers the setting of a postcard. Picture it: a lush island, its white sand warmed by the sun, while a cool, marine sea spray drifts in the background, coming straight from the ocean. This is precisely the contrast found in Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique.

The fruity breath of Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique

Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique plays on a game of light and shadow, contrasting very fresh, transparent top notes with a much darker, warmer base. Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique opens with a fruity trio of orange, blackcurrant and apple. Its first breath is thus infinitely airy and energizing, sparkling and crisp. Then, Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique preserves all its freshness at heart, through the presence of watermelon and melon. These fruits typical of summer are paired with the more opulent jasmine, one of the flowers most favored by perfumers in feminine creations. Finally, Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique ends with a more sensual, woody base of cedar, musk and ambroxan.

Rochas chooses to dress its bottle in a new pink color

All that remains is to discover the bottle of this new summer fragrance. As in the past, Eau de Rochas Escapade Exotique comes in a thick glass cylinder, its walls finely sculpted as though shaped by the erosion of water. A sphere evoking transparent quartz crowns the whole. Exotic birds are this time drawn on its label, in a pink shade perfectly matched to the base of this new bottle.
