Libre is the eau de parfum that Yves Saint Laurent launched in August 2019, composed by Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm. The house describes it as a floral lavender, poised between Moroccan orange blossom and a French lavender reinvented for women, over a base of Madagascar vanilla, ambergris, musk and cedar. Dua Lipa is its face.

Designed by Suzanne Dalton, the Libre bottle wraps the Cassandre logo around the glass, laid on its side like a jewel, beneath a gold chain and a black cap.

The Libre bottle was designed by Suzanne Dalton, who wanted it totemic, like a fashion accessory. Yves Saint Laurent’s Cassandre logo lies on its side and wraps around the glass, set like a jewel.

A gold chain encircles the neck, and an asymmetric black cap crowns the whole for a couture touch. The logo itself dates back to 1961: it is the work of the graphic artist Cassandre, whose real name was Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron.
