Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Parfum

Where to buy
This fragrance draws us into an irresistible game of seduction while echoing the emblematic Madame Rochas, released much earlier, in 1960. Thus, Mademoiselle Rochas is nothing other than a new vision of women as seen through the eyes of the house of Rochas.
A dive into the history of Rochas
Mademoiselle Rochas is a brand new fragrance to which no age could truly be given. Indeed, it is a genuine dive into the heart of the archives of the house of Rochas. It undeniably echoes the emblematic Madame Rochas. This first fragrance had been created by Madame Rochas herself, who at the time wished to craft an essence in her own image. Indeed, upon the sudden death of her husband, in 1955, it was she who took over the direction of the company. Moreover, this was a first. No woman had ever dared to lead such an important perfume house before. Yet the unwavering determination of Hélène Rochas allowed her to reach great heights and, notably, to conquer the heart of America. Thus, it is all this strength and courage that could be found in the fragrance Madame Rochas and that can once again be found today in the new Mademoiselle Rochas. This sparkling and feminine fragrance also has a very chic and elegant facet. It is a concentrate of seduction meant to settle into the curve of the neck.
The sensual and bewitching femininity of Mademoiselle Rochas
If Madame Rochas was endowed with a strong temperament, Mademoiselle Rochas seems to have mellowed somewhat while retaining a slight dose of impertinence paired with a deep elegance. All of this was then translated into fragrance thanks to the talent of the emblematic perfumer Anne Flipo. A key figure in perfumery today, she chose to reveal the absolute romanticism of Mademoiselle Rochas from its top notes. This fragrance combines, in this case, candy apple and blackcurrant. The result is thus all the more fruity, tangy and juicy. Then, it is quickly followed by a more floral heart. This contains two of the most emblematic flowers in feminine perfumery. The whole revolves notably around Egyptian jasmine and rose. Then, the composition gradually slides toward a base as creamy and airy as a white, cottony cloud. This releases a breath of sandalwood while sensuality gradually gains ground. Mademoiselle Rochas ends with a bewitching pairing of ambergris and musk. On screen, it is all interpreted by the actress Noémie Schmidt, discovered notably in the series Versailles. What is more, it is all presented in an absolutely feminine bottle. Entirely rounded, it reveals a soft pink juice topped with a particularly modern metallic gray cap.

The advertising
It has been two years since the Rochas brand was acquired by the Interparfums group. Yet, the least that can be said is that this change marks a shift in strategy. Rochas fully intends to revive its renown and now addresses young women eager for sparkling flavors. This is how the fragrance Mademoiselle Rochas was born. A kind of tribute to the Rochas heritage, it now takes on unprecedented modernity. From then on, all its boldness needed was an advertisement full of playfulness.
Noémie Schmidt in the role of Mademoiselle Rochas
Daughter of a lawyer and a biologist, nothing predestined Noémie Schmidt to enter the world of film and advertising. Yet the Swiss actress very quickly turned toward the world of performance. First trained in classical singing techniques, she taught this discipline in Brussels. At the same time, she also took acting classes in the Belgian capital. It was then in 2012 that Noémie Schmidt took her first steps on screen in a short film by Ewa Brykalska, which earned her several awards. She then extended her renown thanks to the series Versailles as well as her appearance in L'Etudiante de Monsieur Henri. Likewise, in 2016, Noémie Schmidt played the daughter of Dany Boon in Radin, a role full of humor that suited her perfectly. Here, for Mademoiselle Rochas, this is her very first advertising role. Nevertheless, she did not hold back her enthusiasm for working with such a prestigious house. She states that she believes the values of Rochas match her own: values of kindness, generosity, playfulness, freshness, and punch too. Likewise, according to Philippe Benacin, president of Interparfums, Noémie embodies the most perfect spirit of this modern young Parisian woman, at once dynamic and romantic, ingenuous and determined.
Rochas and its sparkling advertisement
It was in the heart of Paris that the advertisement for Mademoiselle Rochas was filmed. Moreover, Noémie Schmidt said she was particularly delighted to be able to work in this city, which, according to her, corresponds to her beginnings in the world of acting. It all begins with a view of the actress from behind, in her apartment. While taking her bath, she applies a few drops of Mademoiselle Rochas. Once fresh and lively, Noémie Schmidt quickly makes her way through the streets of the capital, not hesitating to remove her several-inch heels to move even faster. With a smile on her lips and her shoes in hand, she proudly strolls through the streets of the capital. She then joins a group of friends who give her a huge Rochas box containing a small dog. It all ends in bursts of laughter. Undeniably, Mademoiselle Rochas comes across as a joyful fragrance. As Noémie Schmidt explains, it has that certain something sparkling, feminine, almost childlike. And it is precisely this that can be found in the advertisement for Mademoiselle Rochas.
