Where to buy

This fragrance is the very embodiment of Parisian elegance. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Guerlain decides to create a new version of it. This time, the house presents La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose.

La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose, Guerlain's love for the queen of flowers

La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain does not stray from tradition and symbolizes the image of a Parisian woman. It aims to be the standard-bearer of French chic around the world. This fragrance is thus easily imagined worn by a lively, self-assured woman, strolling the Parisian pavement with a dancing step. Her gaze sparkles, and La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose intends to sweep us along with her into another whirlwind of emotions. To achieve this, it decides to rely on the poetic scent of the flower most cherished by women: the rose. Used since time immemorial in perfumery, this raw material becomes the central element of Guerlain's creation.

The trio of roses contained in La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain

The name of this fragrance leaves no one indifferent and could not be clearer: La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain contains, of course, rose. Better still, it is actually three different varieties of this flower that are found in its formula. La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain first contains Turkish rose, known for its smooth and spicy facet. To this is added an essence of Bulgarian rose, whose fruitier accents recall the breath of raspberry or cherry. Finally, rose absolute from Grasse plunges this fragrance into exquisite refinement. Indeed, it is an ingredient reserved for exceptional fragrances.

Guerlain reinterprets its iconic bottle

Like all fragrances in the La Petite Robe Noire collection, La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain comes in a modern reinterpretation of the glass case of Mitsouko or L'Heure Bleue. Its silhouette is easily identifiable thanks to its cap shaped like an inverted heart and its shoulders drawing comma shapes. La Petite Robe Noire, drawn by the duo Deygas and Kuntzel, is also present on its front face, while its name appears to be written by hand. Finally, to echo the fragrance contained within this bottle, three satin roses are also attached at its neck. As for size, La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain comes in two different spray bottles. It is available in 30 ml or 50 ml bottles.

Olfastory’s review

La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain is just as famous for the beauty of its bottle as for its floral and gourmand scent, or for its silhouette drawn in India ink. Created in 2012, it is a perfect embodiment of French chic, and continues as such to win over women's hearts. Moreover, La Petite Robe Noire frequently gives rise to new derivatives of its scent, to satisfy the expectations of Guerlain's customers. In 2022, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Guerlain offers us yet another new chapter in its story, curiously named La Petite Robe Noire Rose Rose Rose by Guerlain. So what could this somewhat repetitive title possibly mean? Here is our take on it...

The advertising

Inked silhouette and sixties refrain

A silhouette in India ink wanders through Paris to the tune of Nancy Sinatra's “These Boots Are Made for Walking”.

The campaign draws on a soundtrack by Nancy Sinatra, mentioned in the brand text that was circulated; the press identifies the title as “These Boots Are Made for Walking,” a hit from the sixties.

An editorial magazine from a retailer describes the visual approach: the India ink illustration by Kuntzel and Deygas, a slender black silhouette in a little black dress, wandering through the streets of Paris, jumping over rose petals and swinging on a swing.
