La Petite Robe Noire Absolue

Guerlain launched La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Absolue in 2023, a new interpretation of La Petite Robe Noire. The house presents it as a vibrant tribute to the rose and its dark notes, designed to leave a trail of rare power.

A made-to-measure rose

Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s director of fragrance creation and perfumer, signs the composition. She sums up her approach in a phrase the house repeats across the whole line: the rose is the main character, the heart and soul of the composition.

For this version, Guerlain pairs rose essence and Grasse rose absolute with an absolute drawn from the Damascena rose, with a tender, naturally honeyed scent. The house speaks of a trio of roses and a new rose, adorned with the dark notes of its perfumery.

The dark notes

Around the flower, Guerlain places a touch of bergamot, the powdery facets of iris, the woody accents of patchouli and a smoky tea accord heightened by leather, for a trail it describes as both elegant and unsettling.

Cherry and almond, already paired in the line’s eau de parfum, remain at the top, alongside bergamot. The Eau de Parfum Absolue comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml.
