The Yves Saint Laurent perfume house is at least the equal of the master's haute couture house, fanciful yet elegant, original without ever being uncomfortable; Yves Saint Laurent perfumes captivate with their charm without ever losing their luxurious aura. elle could be seen a little like the delicate, floral wife of l’Homme, released a year earlier. But elle would not be content with simply being beautiful; elle would be the perfume of bold women, women who enjoy stirring things up by playing with their feminine assets to better wrap themselves in a few masculine garments. elle represents, in its own way, the famous Yves Saint-Laurent feminine tuxedo, which plays on its ambiguity to charm all the more.

Between the woody notes so beloved by Olivier Cresp, who admits to often drawing inspiration from the incredible Féminité du Bois by Serge Lutens, and the soft Grasse flowers of Jacques Cavallier, elle floods us with happiness in a masculine-feminine style that radiates.

Discovered in the very first perfume by Serge Lutens, Féminité du bois, the feminine woody accord remained, even at the creation of elle in 2007, a rarity in perfumery. Yet Olivier Cresp and Jacques Cavallier did not hesitate for a second, for elle, to use it as a counterpoint to an extremely floral and fruity composition; Yves Saint Laurent perfumes have never feared contrasts, quite the contrary!

elle opens with very original notes of fruity Lychee and velvety, delicate Peony. At the heart, the two perfumers behind elle let their Mediterranean roots sing, offering a magnificent Jasmine accompanied by a sharp Citron. A few Pink pepper berries bring their spicy freshness to these opulent flowers. Finally, the famous woody accord, a favorite of gourmand perfume specialist Olivier Cresp, brings animalic and sensual strength to this elle woman.
