Pour Femme
Lacoste pour Femme: When the crocodile turns to velvet... The 2000 arrival of new artistic director Christophe Lemaire brought a wind of renewal to Lacoste, so much so that the house decided to innovate by offering fragrances playing more on sophistication than on the sporty aspect.

One year after Lacoste pour Homme thus appeared the lovely Lacoste pour Femme and its beautiful floral and woody notes, as feminine as they are deep.
Lacoste tames its crocodile to create a sophisticated Lacoste pour Femme
Although the popularity of the house of Lacoste is unquestionable, the notable arrival of new artistic director Christophe Lemaire allowed the brand to reinvent itself by seeking to create more sophistication in order to clearly propel itself toward the upper end of the market. Thus the two fragrances released shortly after this striking entrance, Lacoste pour Homme in 2002 and Lacoste pour Femme in 2003, reflect through their changes these new ambitions.
The advertising campaign for Lacoste pour Femme employed for the first time a face of the campaign, Marie Bäumer, who moves through a setting that is both very hushed and very modern. The sophistication of the images makes one forget about sport, and one might even venture to think that Lacoste pour Femme attempts to enchant the famous crocodile...
Moreover its creator, the great perfumer Olivier Cresp, recalls that Lacoste pour Femme was composed as a wonderfully feminine, energetic and invigorating fragrance, a natural creation that evokes the natural spontaneity of women. Skirts and tennis courts now seem quite far from the woman of Lacoste pour Femme...
A Lacoste pour Femme signed by the great Olivier Cresp
Although the bottle of Lacoste pour Femme recalls the very slender line of its 1999 predecessor Lacoste for Women, the elongated height of the glass asserts itself as light and transparent while remaining very modern thanks to its metallic cap, stitched like a polo shirt. For once, the green crocodile (here turned gray) remains discreet on the packaging.
From the very first notes, the fragrance opens on a delicate, floral blend of violet freesia and violet. Jamaican black pepper adds to this sublime blend its touch of strong character. Then the heart offers its delicious and precious floral essences of Iranian jasmine, hibiscus flower and Bulgarian rose. To deepen these delicate luminosities, mysterious heliotrope and ambrette seeds bring mystery and botanical voluptuousness to the composition. Finally, Atlas cedar and Mysore sandalwood, smoked with wisps of incense, plunge the woman of Lacoste pour Femme into intoxicating woody sensuality.
With Lacoste pour Femme and its champagne scented with the sensual scent of feminine skin, one gradually moves away from the playing fields to draw closer to an elegant and intoxicating light. Intended, according to Lacoste, for a woman who is free, authentic and a little wild, Lacoste pour Femme is the ideal companion to the so daring Lacoste pour Homme!
