Chance Eau Tendre

Chance Eau Tendre: The young Chanel woman in a great gust of flowers. Chance, the lovely new chypre released in 2003 by the house of Chanel, gave rise to Chance Eau Fraiche in 2007, then this time to a very romantic version of the fragrance, Chance Eau Tendre, in 2010.

In 2002, the house of Chanel decided to celebrate chance. Indeed, in her time, Gabrielle Chanel was herself very superstitious. Constantly wearing countless charms, she was one of those who like to provoke chance and then seize it. As if to evoke the whirlwind of chance, Chanel thus crafted a very floral juice, like a generous bouquet full of life and audacity. In turn, buoyed by its success, this perfume transformed. It first became an Eau Fraiche in 2007, before becoming a first Eau Tendre in 2010, then an Eau Vive in 2015. In 2019, history repeated itself once again and Chanel gave rise to Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum. So, how does it differ from its predecessors? Here is our review of this feminine fragrance.

A more exotic fragrance than before

Initially, Chanel's Chance is a floral and chypre juice that vibrates like life itself and sweeps us along in its whirlwind of scents. In turn floral, spicy, fresh or gourmand, it is built around jasmine and hyacinth before ending on a woodier base. This time, for Chance Eau Tendre, the focus is on exoticism. And it must be said that having our senses taken on a journey is not unwelcome! To preserve its freshness, Chance Eau Tendre opens on a bitter and energizing burst of grapefruit. Its gourmand quality, meanwhile, comes from quince. One could almost mistake it for sweet marmalade! Jasmine, for its part, is still present. More exotic than before, it is accompanied by a delicate essence of rose, femininity requiring as much, before settling on a plush bed of white musks. The balance is perfect and the magic works. The perfumery transports us to an exquisite elsewhere, rich in poetry, tenderness and romanticism.

Chanel's emblematic round bottle

Another strong point of this fragrance is its bottle. Indeed, this one is diametrically opposed to what the house of Chanel commonly offers. While the house had accustomed us to a very square and geometric shape, Chance Eau Tendre is meant to be rounder. Stripped of anything superfluous, this bottle goes straight to the essential. Its minimalism only amplifies its timelessness. Its fully transparent glass now lets us glimpse a pink-colored juice, in perfect harmony with the femininity it contains. Its gray metallic ring has given way to a more dazzling and luminous gold. Finally, the whole is topped with a small square white cap, a shade that Gabrielle Chanel was very fond of in her time. Note also that this design bears the signature of the highly talented Jacques Helleu, a true creative genius who spent his entire life in the service of the house.
As you will have understood, all the elements are combined in this fragrance to ensure its success. Its formula is skillfully orchestrated by Olivier Polge. Its bottle is the work of one of the greatest French creative geniuses. Its message, meanwhile, could not be more appealing: provoke your luck and know how to seize the opportunities that come your way!
