Chance Eau Tendre

Chance Eau Tendre is the floral, fruity variation on Chance, launched by Chanel on April 2, 2010. Jacques Polge sets grapefruit and quince over a heart of hyacinth and jasmine, closed by white musks, cedar and amber. The line's round bottle turns pale pink here.

The round Chance bottle, carried over unchanged for Eau Tendre, with a pale pink juice: the line sets itself apart by the color of the juice, never by the shape.

Chance Eau Tendre does not change bottle. Chanel carries over the line's round container, untouched, and alters only what is inside: a pale pink juice, where the original is amber. The color is the whole visible difference.

The round shape is the sign of the entire line, and it ended up feeding its advertising. Jean-Paul Goude drew from it the device of the Eau Vive campaign, where four women bowl with bottles standing in for balls.

Eau Tendre arrived on April 2, 2010 in two sizes, fifty and one hundred milliliters, and as an eau de toilette only.
