Chance, the original fragrance of the range, had already offered us lovely fruity accords among the different faces that gradually unveiled themselves on the skin. Chance Eau Fraîche had highlighted the lively and fresh accords of its predecessor, while Chance Eau Tendre reshapes the enveloping fruity and musky scents of Chance. Thus each Chance fragrance is offered to a different feminine personality, and this Chance Eau Tendre does not hesitate to offer the soft and delicate woman scents of unveiled romanticism.
To create a fragrance, I start from an intuition. What matters to me is to give the fragrance a poetic dimension, so that it can convey an inner dimension of the woman, like an invisible dress, Jacques Polge, the house of Chanel's dedicated perfumer, told us.
Chance Eau Tendre would thus be the dress of flowers and fresh fruits that Jacques Polge would have designed for Gabrielle Chanel and for all the women who delight in seeing the world with originality and fantasy without losing an ounce of their elegance.
Chance Eau Tendre, or the fruity-floral olfactory accords of a sparkling Chanel
Chance Eau Tendre remains, of course, a Chanel fragrance, and a Chanel fragrance must carry the most beautiful and precious perfumed materials. Thus jasmine absolute, hyacinth and iris absolute compose the precious and delicate heart of Chance Eau Tendre. Where the jasmine turns sun-kissed, the iris offers a powdery, and therefore very feminine, cloud to the bouquet of flowers.
The true modernity of Chance Eau Tendre lies in the top notes, which play between powerful grapefruit and a green quince note, soft and delightfully candied. The heart, of very Chanel elegance, meets for the first time white musks which, for this tender declination, are overdosed to accentuate their plushness.
Nevertheless, Chance Eau Tendre does not depart from the delicate and elegant Chanel style; it innovates and surprises, but above all marks the signature of its master perfumer in an innovative style that will not be forgotten. Chance Eau Tendre would be the last fragrance in the Chance range to be composed by Jacques Polge, as the following opus, Chance Eau Vive, would be created by the house's new nose, Olivier Polge, who is none other than his son. A fine succession which, just as was the case between Jacques Polge and Henri Robert, would be marked by the importance of passing on the house's historic values.
