Xeryus Rouge, or Givenchy's spicy and fresh elixir
When Annick Ménardo creates fragrances, they always play with classic, even retro notes, in order to better showcase the brilliant discoveries of this perfumer, who is especially devoted to modernity and originality. In composing Xeryus Rouge, the great lady did not hesitate to intensify the magnificent hot-and-cold contrasts of Xeryus, turning them incandescent with spicy, piquant notes, a masculine cocktail entirely unprecedented in perfumery.
Xeryus Rouge opens on notes of intense dynamism, kumquat and green cactus, where its predecessor was more timid despite the freshness of its aromatic notes. At the heart, the violet flower of Xeryus disappears, replaced instead by chili pepper! The tone is set, Xeryus Rouge is a daredevil that carries us into burning heat, only to surprise us further with piquant notes of peppery geranium and restless cedar. Finally, sandalwood and white musks offer this adventurer a bath of sensual softness to soothe this fire, which nonetheless never ceases to embrace us.
