In the 40s came an unforgettable collection, Snowflake, as well as magnificent creations, notably like the Alhambra. It was in 1976 that the house Van Cleef & Arpels launched into perfumery with First, a fragrance that became legendary. In 1989, the house presented Tsar, the incarnation of masculine elegance.
The Tsar perfume, nobility as heritage
As its name indicates, Tsar carries within it a noble heritage. In the image of the house Van Cleef & Arpels, Tsar is a fragrance evocative of a prestigious heritage. It is true that Tsar possesses a natural nobility, a nobility that commands respect. Tsar is representative of a genuine tribute. A tribute to a rich period in the house's creative history. In 1925, Van Cleef & Arpels received the grand prix of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs. At the height of its glory, the house placed itself within the artistic movement known as Art Deco. In 1925, it was also the period when the former princes of Russia arrived in exile in Paris. Their cultural influences left a strong mark on that era. Thus, it is in tribute to this particular period that Van Cleef & Arpels decided to name its perfume Tsar. Halfway between complexity and classicism, Tsar is the incarnation of masculine elegance.
Tsar Van Cleef & Arpels, aromatic fougère olfactory notes
This fragrance was created by Philippe Bousseton. Tsar takes flight on aromatic and fresh notes thanks to rosemary, bergamot and mugwort. The heart of Tsar evolves toward a more floral bouquet composed of jasmine and geranium. The base is then more sensual and subtle, composed of amber, oakmoss and vetiver. As for the bottle, it appears to have been carved from a piece of raw marble and is dressed in an intense green. Both matte and glossy, it is as deep as the precious emerald stone. The box reinforces this echo of precious stones, blending glossy and marbled finishes.
Tsar is a tribute to a period in their creative life. At that time, Van Cleef & Arpels received the grand prix of the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Déco. This period also corresponds to the Russian influence on Parisian creations. A very particular tribute for the house's first masculine fragrance. An aromatic fougère composition, a bottle with the look of precious stones, make Tsar an inimitable fragrance.
