It depicts the image of a very self-assured and particularly virile masculinity. And while several fresher fragrances followed, it seems Azzaro has decided to return to its first loves. The house once again reveals a bold, seductive and seducing man through its latest fragrance named Wanted.

The assertive masculinity of the new Azzaro

Wanted is a fragrance synonymous with a return to the roots for the Azzaro house. It depicts the image of a bold, seductive and free man. His sole ambition seems to be to play, live large, succeed. Wanted is the fragrance of a provocative man guided by his instinct. Like Loris Azzaro, he seems to display a charisma that allows him to face any challenge. Indeed, its name is particularly evocative. It brings together several meanings at once. Wanted can mean at the same time desired, sought after, wanted or even requested. Whatever the case, this is a man adored by women and envied by men. He embodies both a fantasy and an ideal to attain. Wanted is the fragrance of a seducer with unshakeable confidence. He is a sort of modern-day hero, intensely masculine, unafraid to satisfy his desires by any means. This is, moreover, clearly symbolized by its bottle. It takes the form of a weapon of seduction. Azzaro opted for a particularly original format shaped like a revolver barrel. It displays complex mechanics and appears as a technical, chic and powerful object. This shining totem is further enhanced by an assembly of chromed fretwork and brass bullets echoing the sun-kissed glints of its juice. Finally, the whole is topped with a cap reminiscent of a poker chip. The message is clear: life is played double or nothing and it is fitting to win at all costs.

The masculine and self-assured scent of Wanted

It is Fabrice Pellegrin who is the perfumer behind this creation. He conceived Wanted in the image of an elegant, impeccably tailored suit. He built this fragrance using the finest materials. Its opening is particularly energizing. It combines two lemon absolutes. These come from a Calabrian lemon that was treated in two different ways. One was obtained through the extraction method known as Sfumatrice, while the other was distilled using the Torchio technique. Without going into a chemistry lesson, it should simply be noted that both the zest of the fruit and its pulp were treated. Thus lemon is rendered in all its splendor, and one finds its usual bitterness paired with a juicier, sun-kissed side. Cardamom from Guatemala then takes over. It displays an explosive vivacity that is very rare in perfumery. What is more, this is further heightened by the presence of ginger from Nigeria. It brings a spicier aspect that is particularly sexy and impertinent. Finally, Wanted ends up exposing all its virility through vetiver from Haiti. Nevertheless, it remains no less tender, and the whole is further wrapped in tonka bean from Brazil, an ingredient with an almond-like, tobacco-tinged and vanilla flavor.

The advertising

Released in 2016, Wanted is a fragrance intended for virile men who own who they are. Wanted, which means sought after, is also the fragrance of bad boys, those who know how to make women swoon despite themselves. The Wanted man possesses a natural, obvious charisma. Shaped like a revolver barrel, the bottle completes the bad boy's arsenal. Virile and ultra masculine, the composition aims to be fresh and spicy. To represent such a masculine fragrance, the house chose one of the sexiest faces of the campaign.

Nikolaï Danielsen, the bad boy of Azzaro Wanted

To represent Wanted, it took a man who was sexy, charismatic, endowed with a sculptural body and self-assured at once… It was therefore quite naturally that the house chose Nikolaï Danielsen. Originally from Norway, Nikolaï was born near Oslo. On the competition side, he won Mister Norvège, then Mr International in Bangkok in 2011. Nikolaï Danielsen has also been a several-time kickboxing champion. In the Wanted advertisement, Nikolaï Danielsen embodies a modern-day James Bond, elegant, with a deep gaze, captivating the screen. Here, he symbolizes a victorious man. As Azzaro states, Azzaro Wanted is the fragrance of a man for whom everything is possible and who succeeds at everything. A flamboyant, brilliant, sun-kissed, magnetic man, envied by men and desired by women. He is free, defiant, he lives his life as he sees fit, ready to follow his instinct and change the rules of the game at any moment. Bold, he bets on his luck with unshakeable confidence and dares to defy his fate to achieve his ends.

Azzaro signs a highly sensual advertising clip for Wanted

The advertising clip opens with the handsome Nikolaï Danielsen flipping a coin, as though playing his fate on heads or tails. He is dressed in the most masculine way possible, with a tuxedo, a white shirt and a bow tie. Then the handsome man speeds off aboard a black car, sending up a cloud of red smoke. The clip is shot in the streets of Barcelona. As he catches the eye of a magnificent woman, Nikolaï Danielsen takes a fully clothed plunge. He is also found later at a very private party where he is coveted by every woman present. At the end of the clip, the seductive Norwegian model retrieves the coin he had flipped… Languid and sensual, the Wanted clip unfolds to a perfectly chosen rock track, Same Ol by the band The Heavy. This track comes from their album The Glorious Dead, released in 2012.

The advertising clip for Wanted features Nikolaï Danielsen, a Norwegian model, who for the occasion embodies the bad boy of the Azzaro house. Sultry and playful, he draws the viewer into a whirlwind between games and women.
