Where to buy
With Womanity, Thierry Mugler wished to portray a mosaic woman, for whom the choice of a fragrance would reveal a deep knowledge of self...
The sweet-and-salty notes of Womanity
Regarding Womanity, Thierry Mugler states that it is a musical fragrance that plays its notes on the emotions of the woman wearing it. Its composition is unprecedented because, for the first time, it incorporates a sweet-and-salty note. Womanity opens with a sensual burst thanks to ripe Fig, juicy and sweet, delicately milky. Then, the unsettling tonality of Caviar makes its entrance. Biting and striking, the Caviar notes bring their animalic aspect here. The wood of the elegant Fig leaf is added, contributing its green and sensual woody accord. Everything here is crafted to speak to a mosaic of women. Intuition, natural character, creativity, sharing, whimsy: these are the words that define Womanity. It should be noted that there is a foundation bearing the name Womanity. Founded in 2005, the Womanity Foundation works toward the integration of girls and women into today's society, and to reduce inequalities.
The stunning bottle of Womanity
The name Womanity was chosen by Thierry Mugler as it combines the word woman and humanity. Like the fragrances of Thierry Mugler, Womanity is not lacking in audacity or character. Fabrice Pellegrin and Karine Dubreuil are the talented perfumers responsible for creating Womanity. They envisioned the contrast between a sweet note, in this case the sugar of the Fig, and a highly luxurious salty note, Caviar. As for the bottle, it resembles a true sculpture. Slender, with an oval base, it evokes a totem engraved against a pink background. At the top of the bottle appears a frieze in platinum-plated zamak. This represents the sphinx oracle with a figurehead face. The ring matching this oracle evokes the circle that unites all the women of the world. A chain connects the ring and the frieze, as if to emphasize the bond, the solidarity among all women.
A shock designer, Thierry Mugler is known for his exaggerated creations and provocative style. His first gourmand fragrance, Angel, was a major innovation in the world of beauty. For the composition of Womanity, the perfumers paired a salty note with a sweet note. Womanity is the fragrance of feminine solidarity. The bottle, filled with symbols, likewise connects women across the world.
