Patchouli Ink

Patchouli Ink is an eau de parfum from the Montblanc Collection, launched in spring 2024 and composed by Fabrice Pellegrin. It translates ink on paper: bergamot at the top, an ink accord at the center, which the perfumer wants mineral and animalic, and patchouli at the base, rounded according to the house by a white musk and vanilla.

In May 2024, Montblanc launched the Montblanc Collection, four eaux de parfum entrusted to four noses: Black Meisterstück to Jordi Fernández, Patchouli Ink to Fabrice Pellegrin, Extreme Leather to Juliette Karagueuzoglou and Vetiver Glacier to Nathalie Lorson. The house’s perfumes are managed by the Interparfums group.

Marco Tomasetta, artistic director of Montblanc, explains that the story of the house has been told from many angles, but that it is being told for the first time as a collection of perfumes.

What the house says

Patchouli Ink pays tribute to calligraphy and to Montblanc ink. The dark notes of patchouli are meant to recall the permanence of ink on paper, and the house says it rounds this material with a white musk and vanilla.

Interparfums presents the perfume as a strong, architectural tribute to the magic of ink, which heightens the dark and mysterious facet of patchouli in a veil of musks and woods. The house classes it among the woody ambery chypres.

Patchouli Ink is sold in a one-hundred-twenty-five-milliliter bottle.
