Chrome is a perfume born of water and azure. These two strong, natural elements were meant to symbolize the connection between Loris Azzaro and his grandson. Chrome Intense is, like its predecessor, a perfume dedicated to authentic moments. It carries loud and clear the values of sharing and legacy. It thus retraces the story of life, that of a father who watches his son grow up, of a son who considers his father a hero of everyday life. Yet family relationships often grow stronger with time. They become more authentic and transform over the years. This is precisely what gave rise to the Chrome Intense fragrance. It is as powerful as family bonds, letting an almost indescribable emotion breathe through as it passes. Chrome Intense draws its strength from love in general, love of people, love of my grandchildren, as Loris Azzaro used to say, love of my friends… I love loving. That is what I love most. This is how he made it one of the most famous fragrance lines in the world. Chrome Intense thus came into being 21 years after its predecessor, in 2015.

The powerful character of Chrome Intense

Chrome Intense is a vibrant, sparkling fragrance combining woody tones with spicy facets. It begins with an explosive freshness before gradually evolving toward a deeper sillage. To achieve this, Azzaro chose to use peppermint in its top notes. This plant reveals here very powerful aromatic scents with a minty note enhanced by more gourmand facets. Elemi only reinforces this effect. Its heart then continues along this path thanks to the presence of cardamom, a fresh, woody spice that is distinctly masculine. Finally, the true shift in Chrome Intense comes more specifically from its sillage. It is darker than before, notably thanks to a trio of precious woods. Chrome Intense also releases notes of patchouli, papyrus and vetiver. Together, they reveal a woody, earthy character, very persistent, spicy and syrupy. This blend gives the perfume all its intensity and texture. The whole is distinctly masculine without becoming too heady. The sillage of Chrome Intense is strikingly reminiscent of its predecessor. It is nonetheless darker than before, mirroring the fragrance it contains. Its blue has intensified and now reveals the stem of its spray bottle, formed of a particularly urban hammered metal.
