Un Jardin en Méditerranée is the first of the Parfums-Jardins, launched by Hermès in 2003. Jean-Claude Ellena drew on the Tunisian garden of Leïla Menchari, in Hammamet, to create it. The house describes it as a fruity, woody fragrance combining a sweet fig tree, green lentisk and delicate oleander, in a bottle whose glass is tinted with a blue gradient.

The bottle was designed by Fred Rawyler, who drew on the lines of the lanterns of old horse-drawn carriages. Its glass takes on a delicate blue gradient, which the house compares to the shifting reflections of the Mediterranean.
The box is illustrated in southern colors by the artist Aurore de la Morinerie, who carried out this collaboration with Hermès in 2003. For each Parfum-Jardin, the house invites an artist to draw the box and gives them carte blanche to express the garden.
The eau de toilette comes in 50 and 100 ml. A 200 ml refill allows the bottle to be filled again, a gesture the house considers inseparable from an object made to last.
