Sauvage is the men’s eau de toilette François Demachy composed for Dior in 2015, with Johnny Depp as its face. It rests on a Calabrian bergamot shaped with local producers, on Sichuan pepper and on ambroxan, which the house describes as a marine ambery wood. Its name salutes Eau Sauvage, created in 1966, without borrowing anything from its formula.
The line’s cylindrical bottle, in glass graded from midnight blue to clear under a black cap; the 30 and 100 ml sizes are refillable.
In 2015, Sauvage introduced the cylindrical bottle in graded glass that the whole line has taken up. For the eau de toilette, the glass shifts from midnight blue to clear toward the base, under a black cap.
The eau de toilette is sold in 30, 60, 100 and 200 ml. The 30 and 100 ml bottles can be refilled with a recyclable aluminum refill, which the house places within its environmental approach; the 100 ml can also be filled at a Refill Station Sauvage, in some stores.
