Ô Zenith

Ô Zenith: the identity card of the fresh water that touches the azure sky The return of Le Monde des Ô, 2025 version Since 1969, the refreshing Ô waters by Lancôme have invited escape into summer. In May 2025, the house launches a new triptych called Le Monde des Ô (Ôff Now, Ôver the Top and Ô Zenith) to boost the emotions of millennials in search of positivity. A true hymn to the Côte d’Azur, the fragrance is meant as a sensory crescendo: a leap from the beach to the solar zenith, the house promises.

Bottle: the azure pebble that captures the light of the zenith From the original pebble to the celestial droplet For more than half a century, the water-pebble silhouette of the Ô line by Lancôme has symbolized freshness. For Ô Zenith, the designers chose to extend this tradition while injecting a resolutely contemporary dimension: the central body slims down, gains a millimeter in height and stretches toward the neck to evoke the moment when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. Seen from the side, the shape is no longer perfectly ovoid: a slight vertical flat creates a column-of-light effect that guides the eye from the bottom, deep azure, to the top, translucent crystal, as if the bottle let the sea rise up to assail the sky.

Color palette: from intense turquoise to solar white

The glass displays a turquoise gradient designed to recall the Mediterranean around midday. More saturated at the base, it gradually softens and ends, below the neck, in a barely tinted hue, so that the liquid seems to light up when the bottle is tilted. This blue transition is balanced by a white lacquered cap with pearly highlights, inspired by the fabric of hotel parasols dotting the private beaches of the Riviera. From certain angles, it reflects light like a miniature solar disc, reinforcing the “zenith” message.

Materials, ergonomics and eco-design

Lightweight, recycled glass

Lancôme opted for glass containing 15% post-consumer recycled content. The resulting weight reduction — nearly 18 g saved compared to the historic bottle — lowers the energy needed for transport without sacrificing sturdiness. The inner surfaces are polished to diffuse light and amplify the natural brilliance of the juice, ensuring a “water in motion” effect even in a dimly lit room.

Parasol cap and silver band

The clip-on cap, molded in a high-resistance plastic partially derived from bio-based sources, is inspired by the ribs of a parasol: six sculpted micro-ridges improve grip when removing the piece. Just below, a silver band engraved with the signature “Ô” affirms the collection’s identity and serves as a tactile guide for finding the spray by touch.

Unscrewable pump & quick refill

To encourage reuse, the pump unscrews in two turns. A translucent 100 ml refill, sold separately, simply slots in by gravity; a reversible silicone seal ensures a tight fit without any disposable part. The system halves plastic use over two refill cycles.

Sensory details and staging

Shifting reflections

In natural light, the turquoise glass casts greenish shadows reminiscent of shallow seabeds. Placed near a window, the bottle acts as a prism: a blue outline dances on the surrounding surface, creating an instantly summery atmosphere.

A “river pebble” grip

The edges are so smooth that the bottle can be turned in the palm like a pebble at skipping time. The spray’s compression zone, slightly concave, guides the index finger; one can therefore apply the fragrance in a single gesture, without looking, eyes still closed after the shower.

Balanced weight and stability

Despite the weight reduction, a thicker glass core at the center of the base keeps a low center of gravity. As a result, the bottle stands firm on unstable bathroom shelves and withstands the vibrations of a travel bag.

Secondary packaging: paper waves and plant-based inks

The box uses corrugated cardboard embossed with waves recalling the surface of water. Offset printed with water-soluble aquamarine blue inks, it has no UV varnish and is fully recyclable in the paper stream. Inside, a molded cellulose cradle replaces the traditional plastic insert.
