Givenchy blends a Madagascar vanilla, a roasted black sesame and an accord of vetiver and patchouli into the bouquet of orange blossom and tuberose, all opened by black pepper, in a black-lacquered bottle.
Black pepper opens L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense to assert, according to Givenchy, its presence. The signature orange blossom of the line lights up a tuberose that the house calls narcotic and spellbinding.
The base pairs the vetiver and patchouli of L’Interdit with a Madagascar vanilla, the darkest and most voluptuous of leathery vanillas according to the house, which orientalizes the woody accord. A roasted black sesame absolute adds an unexpected salty touch.
